Self Portraits Week 7
This weeks assignment was much more difficult than I had anticipated. Although I got through it, it was very frustrating. This is definitely something I will have to work on in the future to better my craft!
Self portraits
I struggled this week because I'm horribly un-photogenic. I have great ideas but none of them come out right on myself. The first picture is of my leg tattoo, its important to me because its a memorial tattoo for my little brother who was killed when he was 17.

I used my phone's flashlight for my name
I danced around with several glow sticks
I have played softball 10 years of my life. I miss playing on a team my age. This was taken at my high school where I played for four years

Self-Portrait
Randomly put the scarf over my head & liked the lighting coming from my window so I picked up my camera and totally did a "selfie"
This is my study area. Pretty much my environment all of the time.

SELF PORTRAIT
I'm never taking a selfie again. I wasn't sure what to do so some shots I tried recreating the things that I made the people I took pictures of suffer through. What a hassle, and these two were the most annoying.

The blur is from me opening and closing the door.
Sorry this one is kinda creepy...not really what I was going for, but it happened.

re_hooleyk: Resubmission
I decided to redo my environmental portraits! As you can see I went back to the gallery. This time I actually talked to the sculptor! His name is Chad and he is self taught like his father. The sculpture he is working on is for a man who fought in WW2, but never received his purple heart. It was really fun getting to hear Chad's story and actually making conversation!
This guy works and sells items in an antique store! He is growing out his beard
because he is going to be Santa Clause this year.

Environmental Portraits
I had the same problem this week as I did last week, nobody wants to have their picture taken! So I managed to pull a couple of people in and I had to use myself as a third subject. I'm not really a photogenic person and photographing myself wasn't easy at all!
